Due to the government shutdown, documents for redetermination must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 15.

According to a press release, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) is providing Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP) benefits through February 2019 in response to the shutdown. A federal response is now stating all states will distribute SNAP funds for much earlier than normal in the month of February.

As of 9 a.m. Friday, January 11, a select group of more than 2,400 SNAP recipients had files that were not complete. These people must take immediate action to submit documentation in time to receive February benefits.
