Disturbance involving a gun leads to arrests in Colorado Springs

The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a disturbance involving a gun Saturday that led to the arrest of two men.

The incident happened on the 1700 block of Wildwood Pass Drive. That’s when police discovered three men outside the home were arguing, leading to a handgun being drawn. Before officers arrived on scene they learned an unconscious woman was inside the home with her two children.

According to the CSPD blotter, when officers confronted the situation, the men escaped inside the partially opened garage to get back inside the home. While inside, they shut off all the lights and hid from police.

After trying to communicate with the people inside, no one responded. Fearing for the unconscious woman and two children’s concern, police made entry inside.

Upon getting inside, they were able to get the woman, her two children, and another male party to safety. Police then searched the home further, discovering a locked bathroom leading to a locked crawl space.

Officers broke into the crawl space and detained two men. Both were taken into custody without incident.
