Colorado Springs police arrest suspects in separate robbery sprees

Colorado Springs police arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery spree, along with a pair of suspects in connection with a bank robbery spree that happened at the end of 2018.

Police say they’re connected to a total of 16 robberies.

The updates came Thursday: the first suspect, 21-year-old Robert William Turner was arrested on Jan. 3. The other two suspects, 32-year-old Allen Matthew Vigil and 49-year-old Robert Lee Maestas, were arrested on Jan. 8.

According to police, Turner wore a mask and threatened victims with a gun during each of his alleged robberies. He’s accused of robbing the following places:

Additional charges are pending against Turner, police said.

Police say Vigil and Maestas are responsible for six bank robberies in Colorado Springs. There’s also an additional charge pending for another robbery they’re suspected of. Police say they robbed the following banks:
