Winter weather making a return – 1/10/19

TODAY: Increasing clouds are in the forecast for your Thursday, but that won’t stop us from warming. Highs today will top off in the mid to upper 50s. Places east of I-25 will likely hit the low 60s.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with snow developing west of I-25. By midnight, most places through the central mountains and in our local mountain cities will be seeing that snow. Watch out for icy, high elevation roads! This snow spreads east by tomorrow morning. Overnight lows will be in the 20s and 30s.

EXTENDED: Widespread rain and snow is likely through the day on Friday, so watch out for icy spots on bridges and overpasses. Snow will be accumulating through the day and the worst driving conditions should become present by Friday night. Snow starts to taper off following midnight on Saturday, leaving the area with moderate accumulations. Some areas near the southern mountains could see more significant snow totals.
