Pueblo police serve several search warrants for illegal marijuana grows

Authorities in Pueblo received information on several illegal marijuana grows within the City of Pueblo and served search warrants to eight homes on Tuesday.

The search warrants were served by the Pueblo Police Department narcotics detectives, SWAT team members, DEA Southern Colorado Drug Task Force, Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, CBI, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Pueblo Fire Department and AMR.

The homes were located at:

2000 block W 11th Street 3000 block Norwich Avenue 4000 block North Drive 0-100 block Terrace Drive 2800 block 4th Avenue 2300 block N Main Street 800 block Elm Street 2500 block Columbine Avenue 800 block Beulah Avenue (consent search)

Authorities seized a total of 258 marijuana plants along with 16 lbs. of processed marijuana product and $18,000. Seven arrests were made with an additional three pending arrest warrants.

The following people were arrested on charges related to illegal marijuana grows, all of whom have ties to Florida and Cuba.

Julio Angel Nieves-Ramirez (33) Yuris Danyer Gomez Hidalgo (30) Jose Ramon Visbal Martinez (44) Joaquin Avino-Gomez (37) Susana Emoe Azconegui (49) Ernesto Damasa Fraga (50) Yoslay Santana-Laines (37)

Nine homes were condemned in the operation. All nine homes were condemned based on code violations.
