Warm Before the Storm

Expect mild and dry weather for Sunday. High temperatures will range from the mid 40s to lower 50s. But then a bone chilling winter storm slips in early Monday morning, bringing a good deal of snowfall for the Wet Mountains and Sangre de Cristo range. A WINTER STORM WATCH goes into effect for Southeast Colorado at 5 a.m. Monday and will continue tthrough the early morning hours on Tuesday, New Year’s Day. Colorado Springs and Pueblo can expect high temperatures in the low 20s both Monday and Tuesday. I-25 and HWY 50 will be icy both days, so plan your Holiday trips accordingly. Milder and drier weather returns next weekend with high temperatures in the lower 50s.
