Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Still Warm! – 1/5/19

Today: We’ll be sunny this morning with increasing clouds this afternoon. The wind shouldn’t be too strong today but there will be a few areas where the breeze will kick up at times this afternoon. High temperatures should reach to 50s and 60s for the plains again this afternoon, mainly 50s over the mountains. The big San Luis Valley will remain much colder again today.

Tonight: Becoming mostly cloudy with some flurries possible over our local mountain areas but we don’t expect any significant snowfall locally. There will be some more significant snow moving over the ski resorts late tonight. We expect low temperatures in the 20s to lower 30s for most areas, but the big mountain valleys will again be chilly with low temperatures in the single digits.

Extended: The clouds and wind will increase and the air will cool some over the next couple of days for eastern Colorado. Snow will fall over the ski resorts on Sunday where as much as 4″ to 8″ could accumulate over some of the major ski resorts. Monday looks to be a windy day for many areas but the snow should remain confined to the high country. We don’t expect any significant precipitation over eastern Colorado this week, and although the air won’t be as warm as it will be today we’ll remain well above average most days.
