Sunny and mild to start the weekend – 1/4/19

TODAY: Everyone in Southern Colorado will be feeling more 20s for those morning temperatures. That will be a nice, more comfortable change of pace for those of you who don’t like the early, bitter cold! This afternoon brings mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Mountain cities will be in the upper 40s to low 50s.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool. Lows drop into the 20s.

EXTENDED: Saturday brings more highs in the upper 50s to low 60s with a slow increase in cloud cover. By Sunday, we will be seeing a partly sunny sky, cooler highs and some high country snow. Some models are suggesting a few flurries or an isolated snow shower in our local mountain cities. We aren’t sold on that yet, but we will keep you posted in the days to come. Cooler air hangs around through Monday before another snow warm up and clearing trend move in for the mid week.
