Patrick Frazee appears in court for custody hearing

Patrick Frazee appeared in court for the second time this week, but this time it was for a custody hearing surrounding Kelsey and Patrick’s child, Kaylee.

This is the second custody hearing to take place. Last week, the judge ruled that Cheryl Berreth, Kelsey’s mom, would receive temporary custody. Thursday, the court ruled to continue temporary legal custody with Kaylee’s maternal grandparents.

Frazee showed up to the first custody hearing refusing to answer any questions, and Thursday, it was more of the same. Frazee came and went without saying a word.

Cheryl Berreth, Kelsey’s mother, appeared at the last custody hearing, but today she participated over the phone. Sheila Frazee, Patrick’s mother, was there but she would not speak to us.

Judge Linda Billings-Vela said in the criminal case the court is not closed but these are two very separate and distinct hearings. Therefore, for the protection of the child, she closed the court.

The custody hearing lasted just a little more than a half hour.

The next custody hearing will take place on Feb. 7.
