Weather Alert – New Year’s Eve 12-31-18
TONIGHT: Snow continues to fall, especially along, west and south of I-25. Cloud cover should be in abundance this evening, so it doesn’t look like we will be seeing the fireworks on Pikes Peak. Temperatures tonight will fall to the single digits and even below zero. Wind chill values will range as low as -20 to -30.
TOMORROW: Snow tapers off from north to south through the late morning and early afternoon and we are left with clearing skies and chilly temps. Highs will struggle to warm into the teens. Accumulation will range between 1-3″ in Colorado Springs, up to 8″ in places through Teller County, with near 12″ over areas near the southern mountains.
EXTENDED: The extended forecast features a warmer and drier pattern. Highs are back to the 30s by Wednesday, 40s by Thursday with 50s on Friday. The weekend looks mild and dry at this point.
