Tracking smoky skies & a few storms

TODAY: Wednesday will bring us mostly sunny skies and warmer weather. We'll have highs in the mid to upper 80s, with a slight chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm across the San Luis Valley and Raton Mesa. Meanwhile, air quality alerts continue across the entire state. We also have Red Flag Warnings across the mountains due to elevated fire danger.

TOMORROW: We're heating back up Thursday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 90s in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Wildfire smoke from Utah lingers.

EXTENDED: The hot and dry conditions will continue through the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 90s in Colorado Springs and triple digits in Pueblo Friday through Monday. Expect fire danger to become more widespread here before monsoonal moisture makes a return by the middle of next week.
