Snow-covered drive for people across El Paso County this morning

It was a cold and slick morning for people driving across El Paso County Saturday morning.

Before drivers could get out they had to clean the mess the winter storm left behind.

People in Fountain neighborhoods were seen shoveling and sweeping their driveways.

On the main roads, the drive wasn’t so bad. One person getting gas said, “there are some icy spots so you’ve just got to be careful.”

Moving North on Powers, snow plows were seen hard at work trying to clear snow before many people got the road.

Just a few miles ahead of that, traffic was moving easily despite a truck losing its back-end near Constitution.

Near the intersection of Austin Bluffs and Dublin, traffic had a harder time getting around. Cars headed West on Dublin had to slow down long before the red-light to avoid slipping through the road.

In just a few short hours, most of the snow had already melted. Busy streets like Highway 24 and I-25 were wet but had no lingering snow.
