Colorado gains almost 80,000 people over the course of a year

It’s been said many people are moving to Colorado and the U.S. Census Bureau has big numbers to prove it.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s website, over the course of a year, nearly 80,000 people have moved to Colorado.

The number was measured from July 2017 to July 2018. In total, it brings Colorado’s population to almost 5.7 million people.

People who’ve lived here for years have felt the impact.

“I’ve noticed a lot of new people moving here the roads have definitely gotten busier. It’s not necessarily a bad thing I think it’s good for the city to have more people be here too,” Nicole Perkey said.

Since 2010 Colorado has gained 666,248 people, which is an increase of more than 13 percent.
