Warming into the Weekend 12-28-18

TONIGHT: A few lingering light snow showers will continue to wrap up during the overnight. Some light accumulations combined with the cold will make for a few slick spots into early tomorrow morning so watch for that potential as you’re out and about. Lows fall to the single digits for all areas with a few mountain cities possibly dropping below zero. Skies will start to gradually clear during the early morning hours.

TOMORROW: After a very cold start to the day, we warm to the 20s and 30s by the afternoon with plenty of sunshine.

EXTENDED: The brief warming trend continues into Sunday with highs warming to the 30s and 40s. Later in the day clouds will begin spreading in ahead of our next storm system set to arrive on New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve is looking cold and blustery with the chance for snow. Snow chances taper on New Year’s Day but the cold will linger with highs in the teens and 20s and lows in the single digits. A nice warming trend will then kick in by mid to late week with a stretch of dry weather.
