Georgia man who worked as Walmart Santa accused of killing his 2 kids, burying in backyard

A Georgia man who worked as a Walmart Santa Claus was arrested after remains of his teenage children were found buried in his backyard, according to authorities.

According to ABC News, autopsy reports confirmed the bodies found on Monday were of Mary Jo Crocker and her brother Elwyn Crocker Jr. The children were both 14-years-old.

Mary had been last seen sometime in October and Elwyn Jr. was last seen in November of 2016 but was never reported missing.

“Neither child had ever been officially reported missing,” McDuffie said at a news conference.

A Facebook post from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received a tip about the missing girl on Dec. 20, which led investigators to ask residents of the home where the children were. After an investigation, they located the two bodies buried in a wooded area on Thursday.

ABC News reports Effingham County Coroner, David Exley, said the cause and manner of death on the children are pending more tests, including toxicological reports.

“I’ve been doing this 41 years and … I almost broke down in tears,” McDuffie said at a news conference. “It’s that bad. I cannot understand how you do children like this. It’s horrible.”

The stepmother of the children, 33-year-old, Candice Crocker and her mother, Kim Wright, 50 were also arrested regarding the case. Wright’s boyfriend, Roy Anthony Prater, 55, arrested as well.

All four have been charged with concealing the death of another and cruelty to children in the first degree. Prater also faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
