Cold start, then warmer this afternoon – 12/23/18

TODAY: We kick off your Sunday with some patchy freezing fog and a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs today will be in the upper 30s over the mountains, with low to mid 40s for the lower terrain.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold with lows in the 20s.

EXTENDED: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both look dry with a mix of clouds and sun. Highs will be in the 40s to low 50s in places on Christmas Eve, with just slightly cooler highs for Christmas day. Christmas night looks to bring some snow showers which pick up in coverage by Wednesday morning. The entire day on Wednesday looks very wintry with off and on snow and lots of cold. Some accumulation is possible as well as some slick roads, but exact totals are still to be determined. Thursday morning brings a few snow showers followed by mostly dry skies. Friday brings a second round of snow and cold which will likely linger into Saturday morning.
