Colorado Springs hospital placed on lockdown due to suspicious vehicle

Memorial Hospital was placed on lockdown early Thursday morning.

Just before 6:00 a.m. the Colorado Springs Police Department was notified that a shooting victim was dropped off at Memorial Hospital.

While on the scene, officers received information about a vehicle that was circling the hospital’s parking garage at which time the hospital was placed on lockdown.

Officers were unable to locate the vehicle and the lockout was lifted a short time later. It is unknown at this time if the suspicious vehicle was related to the shooting victim.

The victim of the shooting sustained serious injuries but was in stable condition.

There have been no arrests made at this time. The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section has assumed responsibility for this investigation.
