3 arrested after trespassing on Colorado Springs cemetery

UPDATE: Four suspects have been identified by police for burglarizing the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery Tuesday.

When police first arrived, the suspects were given verbal warnings to vacate the property. After further examination, police discovered three of the four suspects were wanted on felony warrants.

When they returned to relocate the suspects, they discovered the individuals had already left the area. After a search, they were able to find three of the four, placing them in custody.

Two of them also face additional charges for narcotics.

Evie Estrada, 36, was arrested on a felony warrant. Mart Gallegos, 47, was also arrested on felony warrants, along with unlawful distribution of a scheduled II controlled substance. Lastly, Jesse Murphy, 45, was arrested on felony warrant and unlawful possession unlawful distribution of a scheduled II controlled substance.

The Colorado Springs Police Department asked for the public’s help Tuesday in identifying suspects that burglarized the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery.

Police say the suspects damaged two windows, a door, security camera and a lantern. No property was taken.
