Same company behind romaine recall now recalls red, green leaf lettuce and cauliflower

The California farm that recently had romaine lettuce recalled by The Food and Drug Administration is now recalling red lead lettuce, green leaf lettuce, and cauliflower.

In a statement, Adam Bros.Farms of Santa Maria said the recall was “out of an abundance of caution.”

According to an article from USA Today, the recall is for three types of produce grown and harvested in a certain field between the dates November 27-30.

Wholesalers across the states of California, Colorado, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Canada all got the red and green leaf lettuces. Plus, red leaf also got handed out to Minnesota and Tijuana, Mexico.

As for the cauliflower, it was distributed to Arizona, California, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Mexico, and Canada.

The FDA identified Adam Bros. Thursday after a sample investigation tested positive for the same strain of E. coli, which caused the current outbreak. Since then, 59 people in 15 states and Washington, D.C., had gotten sick from the outbreak. That includes 23 people who were hospitalized.
