Colorado Springs Police Department’s speed radar trailer vandalized

One of the Colorado Springs Police Department’s radar trailers was vandalized this week by an unknown person or persons.

The department believes the gold-colored spray paint made to the signs happened sometime either in the early morning hours Wednesday or late Tuesday night.

The spray paint covered the speed limit sign, the speed display screen, and the CSPD markings. The radar trailer has been taken out of service and hopefully can be repaired.

The signs are placed around various locations around Colorado Springs to advise citizens of their speed and encourage them to slow down. The department moves the radars around neighborhood areas and high traffic areas.
