Mild Wednesday then Windy and Cold 12-11-18

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy with lighter winds. Lows will range from the teens to the 20s and 30s across the region.

TOMORROW: Wednesday starts mild with breezy conditions once again. Highs should still warm to the 40s and 50s despite increasing clouds. Snow moves into the Central Mountains through midday before spreading east by the evening. This system moving through will be very brief bringing a quick shot of snow to the region. Accumulations looks pretty minor in most places with an inch or two possible near the Palmer Divide and 2-4″ possible near the Raton Mesa. Strong north winds will limit snow accumulations through Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Areas along and East of I-25 will experience strong wind gusting to near 50-60 mph.

EXTENDED: High Wind Watches are in effect through Thursday with northerly wind gusts between 50-65 mph across much of the Eastern Plains. Skies will clear behind the departing system but even with sunshine, highs stay confined to the 30s and 40s. Milder and sunnier conditions return for Friday with highs in the 40s and 50s. The weekend looks quiet and mild.
