Happy reunion for missing dog found inside Colorado Springs homeless camp
Wednesday was a happy day for a dog found roaming around a Colorado Springs homeless camp.
Stretching a half mile from the intersection of Fountain Boulevard and Wahsatch Avenue to the intersection of Las Vegas and Royer Streets, it’s the same camp being deemed the largest ever in the city.
Bowie the dog was found by Animal Law Enforcement officers during Wednesday’s eviction and clean up of the camp.
Officers said they discovered Bowie had a microchip and they were able to contact her owners. During the reunion, they tearfully told Bowie’s rescuers she had been missing for several weeks.
