Cooling things down – 11/29/18

TODAY: Today will be the first day of cooler temps as we head toward the weekend. There will be lots of sunshine today, but highs today will be around 10 degrees cooler than yesterday afternoon in most spots. Places around our mountain cities will be in the 40s today, with highs in the 50s over the lower terrain. Some places east of I-25 will hit around 60.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 20s. Mountains will be in the low 20s.

EXTENDED: Friday brings more clouds than sunshine. In fact, some places will see areas of low clouds. This will produce areas of freezing drizzle over the plains. Following that, a few rain and snow showers are possible in the afternoon. If we see any accumulation it will be very minor and will mainly be over higher terrain areas like Teller County and the Palmer Divide. Sunday into Monday brings better chances for accumulating snow. There are still some things to work out with this system, but right now the southern mountains look to have the best chance of seeing some of that accumulation. This snow looks to occur through most of the day Sunday and wrap up Sunday morning. Stay tuned for updates!
