2 Colorado Springs men get probation for downloading child porn
Two Colorado Springs men who were arrested on separate incidents of downloading child pornography were sentenced to probation Tuesday in an El Paso County court.
The first of the two, Giancarlos Rodriguez-Vance, was sentenced to five years of sex offender intensive supervised probation. Rodriguez-Vance was arrested in May after investigators found out he had downloaded child porn at his house on Heatherhill Drive.
The second person sentenced Tuesday, Nathaniel Shane Simpson, was sentenced to four years of sex offender intensive supervised probation. He’ll also have to serve 48 hours of community service. Simpson was arrested in September after a four-month-long investigation into his downloading of child pornography.
The two cases aren’t related to each other, but they were both investigated by the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
