Windy Black Friday 11-22-18

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast tonight with lows in the upper 20s and low 30s. Winds will increase for many areas overnight. Gusts will mainly be between 20-40 mph but around 50-60 mph for western Las Animas County.

TOMORROW: Windy conditions continue for Black Friday with mostly sunny skies and slightly cooler temps. While temps won’t look a lot colder, it will feel that way with the wind. Gusts in the 40-50 mph range will be possible in areas along and west of the interstate. Highs top out in the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: The weather becomes more active on Saturday and by the late afternoon, we should see a rain snow mix moving in mainly for the higher terrain and our northern counties. This changes over to light snow for higher terrain areas past sunset before tapering off after midnight. Accumulations will likely be 1″ or less so travel impacts look low. Very windy conditions continue Saturday into Sunday. Sunday will be much colder with highs in the 30s and 40s.
