Turkey Day: mild with increasing clouds – 11/22/18
TODAY: Clouds will be increasing through the morning and into the afternoon today. So look for partly sunny skies for your Thanksgiving with highs in the 50s and 60s. Mountain cities today will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. By the end of the day, things will become a lot more breezy.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast tonight with lows in the upper 20s and low 30s. Things stay somewhat breezy through the overnight.
EXTENDED: Black Friday looks partly cloudy and cooler with temperatures in the 30s, 40s and 50s. The wind really cranks up during the late morning and early afternoon, so a wind alert level 1 is in place. Winds will likely be gusting at or slightly above 30-35 mph. The weather becomes more active on Saturday and by the late afternoon, we should see a rain snow mix moving in. This changes over to light snow for higher terrain areas past sunset before tapering off after midnight. Accumulations will likely be 1″ or less so travel impacts look low. We stay on a wind alert through Saturday and Sunday morning.
