Subway clerk assaulted and robbed at gunpoint in east Colorado Springs

Officers were called to the Subway Sandwich shop at the corner of N. Academy and Palmer Park Blvd. for reports of a robbery late Wednesday night.

Upon investigation, officers discovered a man entered Subway with a firearm and demanded cash from the clerk who was in the store alone. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and drove northbound on N. Academy.

The clerk was assaulted but was treated and released at the scene for a minor injury.

The suspect is described as a white male, heavy set, 5’8″ and was wearing blue jeans.

The investigation is ongoing.
