JBS beef supplier recalls more than 90,000 pounds of beef products after fear of E. coli concerns

JBS USA, a meat supplier, is recalling 99,260 pounds of raw beef due to concerns of E. coli. It comes less than two months after another major recall.

On Saturday, the meat supplier recalled a large number of its meat products from a facility in Utah. It’s the second recall from the company in just a few months span.

Back in October, JBS recalled nearly 6.9 million pounds of their raw beef products with fears of salmonella concerns. The products were sold in a number of different brands, including Cedar River Farms, Comnor Perfect Choice, Gourmet Burger, Grass Run Farms, and Showcase, which is sold at Walmart.

As of last week, The CDC reported at least 246 people in 25 states, including Colorado were sickened by the salmonella outbreak. Of those people, 59 were hospitalized. For a look at the report, click here.

The E. coli issues were brought into the light last week after the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service tested the beef products from JBS USA.

So far, no reports of illness from this recent E. coli outbreak regarding the beef have been reported.
