Fountain-Fort Carson school bus slips off icy road in Manitou Springs

Twenty-one students and two adults from Carson Middle School might be a little shaken up after their school bus slipped off the road in Manitou Springs and nearly tipped over on the side of a hill Wednesday.

Everybody is safe and off the bus, according to officials with District 8, and no injuries were reported.

The bus was on its way to a basketball game at Manitou Springs Middle School when it went off the road at Peakview Boulevard, which isn’t on the direct path to the school.

The game was canceled, district officials said, and all of the students were transported back to Carson Middle School.
