2nd grader writes Veterans Day speech to father away from home

Drew, a 2nd grader at Weikel Elementary School, surprised her dad, Jonathan Curtis, with a Veterans Day speech Tuesday, Nov. 6th.

While her father, wasn’t able to see the speech in person, he was able to watch through video. He was touched by it.

The two were waiting for their reunion, which finally happened exactly a week later. Tuesday, Nov. 13th, Jonathan and Drew got to celebrate some quality time together, where they took these photos.
