2 juveniles arrested for 17-year-old’s death in Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs police have arrested two juveniles in connection with the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy last week near Deerfield Hills.
Police say a 16-year-old male and 16-year-old female were arrested over the weekend after Luis Starkey was found dead last Monday.
CSPD says the male was charged with first-degree murder and arrested on Friday. The female was arrested Sunday, but police didn’t specify what she’ll be charged with.
Investigators need help solving the case, and the homicide/assault unit is asking for information from anyone who might know what led to Starkey’s death.
Police say the killing is the 30th homicide in the city so far this year.
