Weather alert day – 11/11/18

Tonight: We’ve got a Weather Alert in effect tonight and tomorrow morning! Snow will continue to fall overnight and into Monday morning. I think by noon tomorrow, it will be relatively drier and quieter. An additional few inches are possible in the Pikes Peak region and far southeastern plains (think eastern Las Animas and Baca Counties). Meanwhile, heftier totals are possible along the Sangres and Raton Mesa. Remember, under stronger bands, relatively heavier snow totals are possible. It’s very tricky tracking what to expect with exact snow amounts. Temperatures stay COLD! Overnight, lows plummet to the single digits in Teller County with the teens elsewhere.

Tomorrow: It will be slick, slushy and snowy for the commute tomorrow morning! Bundle up and plan your travel accordingly. Use caution on the roads! Highs tomorrow will be very similar to what we had today with temperatures in the 20s and 30s for the lower elevations and the teens for Teller County. Into Monday afternoon and evening, it will be generally drier and quieter.

Extended: We’ll be drier, relatively warmer and sunnier Tuesday and thereafter! Enjoy the milder weather.
