Man’s body recovered from ditch in Pueblo County
Pueblo County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating after a body of a man was found Saturday morning in the Bessemer Ditch in Eastern Pueblo County.
Deputies responded to the ditch near 33 rd Lane after a witness reported he saw what he believed to be a body in the ditch.
Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Bureau’s dive team, with assistance from Pueblo Rural Fire responded, recovered the body.
Right now there investigators are working to determine the identity of the man.
It is unknown how long the body had been in the water.
Officials say there were no obvious signs of trauma, however detectives are considering the death suspicious.
The investigation is ongoing.
