Mild Saturday, Snow Sunday 11-9-18

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will yield cold temps once again. Lows fall to the teens and 20s. A few clouds will work into the Pikes Peak region by early morning.

TOMORROW: Saturday looks pleasant with mostly sunny skies and milder weather. Highs warm to the 50s and low 60s. Our mountain cities stay in the mid to upper 40s. It may be breezy by Walsenburg and Trinidad early in the morning. A cold front arrives late in the day bringing strong north winds and colder temps Sunday.

EXTENDED: Sunday will feature the return of cold and snow as a storm moves in early. This will spread snow to Denver and the Palmer Divide through the morning commute while most areas remain dry. By late morning and the afternoon, snow will continue to spread south to the Eastern Mountains and Raton Mesa. Snow will likely continue on and off through midday Monday before tapering off from north to south. Accumulations look likely from this storm, favoring the Eastern Mountains. 1 to 3″ look possible for portions of El Paso county with the foothills seeing the highest amounts. Areas in Teller County could see 3 to 8″. Pueblo may see totals range from 1 to 3″ while the higher terrain south and west of Pueblo may see amounts range from 2 to 7 inches. Portions of Huerfano and Las Animas counties may see around 2 to 5″. Cold weather accompanies snow with highs in the 20s and low 30s. Warmer weather returns for the middle to late part of next week.
