UPDATE: No threat from suspicious package in Pueblo

Pueblo police investigated a suspicious package that they thought could have contained an explosive, but it turned out to be a bag of clothes.

The bag was found unattended along Colorado Ave. After a few hours, police cleared the scene.

Pueblo police are investigating a possible explosive near Colorado Ave.

Few details are known at this point, but there’s a heavy police presence near Colorado and W. Evans Ave. and that section of the road is blocked off.

Police say a suspicious package was found, but we still don’t know the contents.

Police haven’t said if there’s a threat to the public, and we haven’t heard any reports of evacuations yet.

None of the traffic on Abriendo has been affected.
