Cold and Light Wintry Weather 11-7-18

TONIGHT: Areas of light snow, rain and even freezing drizzle and fog will be possible from late evening through the overnight. Areas favored for any wintry weather will mainly be parts of the Pikes Peak Region and Eastern Plains. The event itself will be pretty low impact with most roads staying clear. The only exception would be some bridges and overpasses in the higher elevations. Lows will be in the teens and 20s tonight.

TOMORROW: Winds become more northerly for Thursday which means the focus for snow will shift to the Palmer Divide, some of our mountain cities and the Raton Mesa. This happens during the late morning and early afternoon. Some of the snow will likely mix with rain during the day before winding down in the afternoon. Accumulations will be minor in these spots (T-2″ and will be contained to grassy surfaces). Highs stay very cold in the 30s and 40s. Our mountain cities likely won’t warm out of the 20s.

EXTENDED: Friday remains chilly but will be dry and sunny. Dry weather continues Saturday with milder temps. Highs return to the 40s and 50s. Changes arrive again for Veteran’s Day with a big cool down and snow chances. Right now highs look to cool to the 20s and 30s for much of Southern Colorado Sunday and Monday.
