Cimarron Hills Fire Department responds crash involving pedestrian near Marksheffel/Hwy 24

The Cimarron Hills Fire department responded to an auto-pedestrian accident near Marksheffel and Highway 24 around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

We’re told an 8-month pregnant woman around 30-years-old was struck by a vehicle and that the accident was domestic violence related. The woman’s condition is currently unknown.

The accident was allegedly witnessed by an off-duty State Patrol officer. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is currently handling the investigation.

For now, you are asked to avoid the area as the inside lane of westbound 24 is currently blocked off.
