Marty’s Sunday Morning Forecast – Not As Windy Today – 11/4/18

Today: We expect a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky the rest of the day. Another weak system could cause very spotty snow showers or flurries to develop over and near our local mountain areas today, but the accumulating snow should remain confined to areas along the Continental Divide. Not as windy for most areas, but we still expect breezy conditions this afternoon with high temperatures in the 30s and 40s over the mountains, 40s and 50s for the plains.

Tonight: Partly cloudy and possibly becoming windy at times over and near the mountains. We won’t be as chilly tonight with low temperatures in the 30s for the plains, 20s over the mountains. A few snow showers may develop over the Sangre De Cristos and Pikes Peak late, but we don;t expect any significant precipitation at lower elevations.

Extended: The stronger wind gusts over and near the mountains should gradually subside on Monday, but we’ll remain breezy at times and cool with high temperatures only in the 40s and 50s for the plains, 30s and 40s for the mountains. Tuesday looks mostly dry, breezy and cool. Another wave should drive some colder air over the area Wednesday and Thursday, and there is a slight chance we could see a little snow fall over parts of the area, but right now widespread significant snowfall appears unlikely. The rest of the week looks dry and cool.
