Three-year-old airlifted to hospital after large crash at I-25 and Baptist Rd.

Colorado State Patrol is investigating what led to a large crash scene near SB I-25 and Baptist Rd.

The agency tells KRDO NewsChannel 13 that a 40 foot R.V. and at least six other vehicles were involved in the crash that shut down the southbound side of I-25 for a period of time.

A total of 18 people were involved in the accident, and a three-year-old child was airlifted to a hospital with critical injuries.

The mom of the child was also taken to the hospital. Both the child and mother are in critical but stable condition as of 6:15 Saturday night.

The interstate has re-opened.
