Teenager arrested for killing man at Pueblo playground
Pueblo police say a teenager has been arrested after a fatal shooting that happened on a playground back in July.
On July 13, police officers responded to JJ Raigoza Park off Maryland Ave. and found 22-year-old Wayne Broska dead from a gunshot wound.
Months went by before an update from the Pueblo Police Department Thursday. Officers identified 19-year-old Christian Sena as the murder suspect and arrested him. It’s not clear when Sena was taken into custody.
Police haven’t said what led to the shooting, but neighbors said there was a lot of drug activity in the area, and they believed the shooting was likely due to drugs.
Sena faces a charge of first-degree murder and is being held at the Pueblo County Detention Center.
We’ll update this article if more information is released Thursday.
