Suspects sought after 2 bank robberies in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police are investigating two bank robberies that happened months ago, and investigators need help identifying the suspects

The first robbery happened on March 16 at a Wells Fargo at 7473 N. Academy Blvd. Police say a man committed the robbery and then fled with a woman driving a red Jeep Liberty with Texas license plates. The Jeep possibly has a spare tire on the back with a tire cover displaying a star logo, according to police.

Police say the Chase Bank at 7190 N. Academy Blvd. was robbed on Aug. 17 by “the same suspect in a similar manner.”

The man is described as being white, 25 to 35 years of age, 5’7″ to 5’10” with a medium build, wavy dark hair, and facial hair. The woman is described as white, 25 to 35 years of age, with dark hair.

We don’t know how much money the pair stole.

If you have information about the robberies, call police at 719-444-7000.
