Weather Alert: Tuesday Rain and Snow 10-30-18

TONIGHT: Rain will continue changing over to snow from northwest to southeast throughout the late evening and overnight. Temps will continue dropping to the upper 20s and low 30s and that will create slick travel into morning commute across parts of the Pikes Peak Region. Accumulations are likely from heavier snow bands by tomorrow morning. Some roads may not be just slushy, but rather become snow packed.

TOMORROW: Snow is expected to be ongoing across most areas of Southern Colorado through the morning commute so leave extra time to scape your car and maneuverer slick roads. Some of the heaviest snow will have shifted south across the Southern Mountains and southern I-25 corridor through Wednesday. Snow will begin to taper from north to south throughout the afternoon hours as drier air spreads in from the north. Cold temps will continue with those highs in the 30s and 40s with some 50s over the plains. Accumulating snow is still likely into early Wednesday.

EXTENDED: A few isolated showers are possible on Thursday before we dry out into the weekend. Temps also become milder, back to the 50s.
