U.K. authorities search for David Schwimmer look-a-like beer thief

Police in the U.K. are looking for a suspected beer thief who resembles the ‘Friends’ character Ross Geller, played by American actor David Schwimmer.

Blackpool Police posted the photo of the man to their official Facebook page Tuesday with the caption, “Do you recognize this man? We want to speak to him in relation to a theft at a Blackpool restaurant on the 20th September.”

Shortly after the post was made, dozens of people commented on the resemblance the man had to Ross Geller. It has since gone viral with more than 60,000 shares online.

After the post drew in so much attention, Blackpool Police responded again thanking everyone for their speedy responses. They went on to say they did a little investigating for themselves and confirmed actor David Schwimmer was, in fact, on a date in America at the time the photo was taken.

It is unclear whether the ACTUAL beer thief has been located at this time, however, it could be said that the man probably will not be able to hide from authorities for too much longer with so many people now looking for him.
