Broncos QB Chad Kelly released by team day after arrest

The Denver Broncos released backup quarterback Chad Kelly on Wednesday.

President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway said the decision to release Kelly was made as an organization.

“Even though Chad’s no longer part of our team, we’ve offered to help him however we can and are supportive of him in every possible way,” Elway said.

The release comes after Kelly was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespassing Tuesday morning.
