Police respond to incident near Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs

Update: As of 10:23 a.m. the police action on Wynkoop has been resolved. Neighbors no longer need to take shelter.

It was discovered that a homeowner shot himself in the foot.

Colorado Springs police responded to an incident in the 1200 block of Wynkoop Drive near the Citadel Mall Monday morning.

An ENS message was sent out to neighbors in the area to shelter in place until the incident has finished.
