Sunny and dry weekend – 10/19/18

Today: It’s going to be simply gorgeous out there today! While out times it could be slightly breezy, winds shouldn’t ruin the day by any stretch. Today will be remembered as sunny, borderline warm and dry. Highs will be in the 60s and 70s in the lower elevations with the 50s for the local mountains. Surface high pressure will keep things tranquil. Enjoy the quiet weather!

Tonight: Clear skies are expected overnight with lows down to the 30s and 40s. Grab the jacket as you step outdoors late tonight and early Saturday!

Extended: High pressure continues to dominate this upcoming weekend. Highs will be even warmer Saturday and Sunday and will be accompanied by pure sunshine. Into Monday morning, a weak cold front moves through. This will shave off temperatures by a few degrees, but nothing drastic. Tuesday and Wednesday, cooler air works its way into the area. Upsloping winds combined with a low pressure system will spark some showers, increase moisture in the area and cool us down. Precipitation will primarily fall in the form of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday in the lower elevations; right now, it appears as if it will be too warm for snow. However, some snow is possible over the high country. Stick with us for the latest!
