Skiers sleep under lift ahead of Arapahoe Basin opening day
Friday, Arapahoe Basin opened its runs to the public for the 2018-19 ski season, but people were already lined up days before.
They were there to ensure their spots on the second or third chair — but everyone knows the first lift is saved for Nate Dogggg and his crew.
The lift opened at 9 a.m. for the season, but many people decided to sleep under the chairlift last night.
Last year, Arapahoe Basin was able to claim the first runs of the season. But this year the resort was beat to the rush by Wolf Creek, which opened lifts the weekend of October 13.
Loveland Ski Resort will open their lifts to the public on Saturday
