Colorado Springs fire fighters respond to structure fire near First and Main Town Center

The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire Sunday morning.

Firefighters arrived to 5521 N. Buckskin Pass Dr. three minutes after the call was made. Crews found light smoke coming from the backside of the home and an active fire on the deck with smoke entering the home. All occupants and pets were out of the house upon CSFD’s arrival.

Crews were able to put out the fire and there were no displacements or injuries.

After further investigation, it was determined that the fire was caused by careless smoking.
