WEATHER ALERT: Dense fog, freeze warning – 10/11/18

TODAY: Dense fog will be seen in places through the Pikes Peak Region this morning. Visibility will be less than a quarter mile at times, so take it slow on the roads. With temperatures at or near freezing this morning, be aware of slick spots on bridges and overpasses. A couple of light snow showers are possible early on, with better chances for a few showers after 1PM. Flakes could mix in over the mountains and along the Palmer Divide, but most places end up warmer today, so widespread snow won’t be an issue. Highs will be in the 40s.

TONIGHT: Showers wrap up following sunset and we are left with more patchy fog tonight. Lows will be in the 30s to near 40.

EXTENDED: Our weather will be quiet on Friday and Saturday with warmer highs in the 50s and 60s. Sunday looks like it could bring accumulating snow, so stay tuned for updates on that. Highs that day will only be in the 20s and 30s.
