Colorado Springs firefighter arrested for child sexual exploitation, investigation ongoing

The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating a CSFD employee for child sexual exploitation.

Robert Patrick Stambaugh, 59, was arrested Wednesday and charged with sexual exploitation of a child, a class 3 felony. He was booked in the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center without bond.

Stambaugh has been employed with the Colorado Springs Fire Department since 1986. He is currently listed as an employed Firefighter/Paramedic.

Authorities have not released any other information at this time, as an investigation continues.
